POVILAS BONKEVICIUS Head of KTK Racing Division

"I have always been interested in sports and engineering and had a very clear idea of what I wanted to study. I chose Kaunas University of Applied Engineering Sciences as there were more practical activities and placements compared to studies at a research university. During my studies, KTK invested a lot in the development of their infrastructure: modern labs were established in collaboration with Bosch, Volkswagen and local brands. Inspired by teachers and supported by the administration, we created a club for automobile enthusiasts in 2014. This was the most memorable event that occurred during my studies. We prepared vehicles for events, took part in amateur motorsport competitions as participants and marshals, collaborated with other teams. To date KTK Racing division has had over 100 students involved in our activities winning 32 prizes in racing events. We aim to popularise motorsports, involve the youth into the activities of our Academy and compete nationally and internationally. In 2019 a documentary titled "United to Race” was filmed to present our journey and activities to the public."

KAMILE BIELSKYTE - ZNUTIENE Engineer of the Project Administration Department at "Kauno tiltai", the largest transport infrastructure construction company in the Baltics

"After graduating from KTK, I started working for the transport infrastructure construction company AB "Kauno tiltai" as an engineer of the project administration department. I still work in this company today. KTK has left the best impressions. I am very happy to be able to participate in their events and to stay in touch with the teachers even now. The studies were not easy, but I dedicated myself to them completely. In the second year, when I started studying more specialised subjects, I realised that this was my thing and have been working in this field ever since."
