KTK together with Continental Automotive Lithuania invited all the students to the Robotics Hackathon on November 28th and 29th. This is an event where the participants engaged in rapid and collaborative engineering over the course of two days.
KTK students received a tour around the plant and problem-solving training from Continental Automotive Lithuania. Later on, everybody gathered for the practical part: students had to assemble the robots and then program it to carry out specific tasks on four tracks.
Track 1 was a speed challenge where the teams had to complete the track as fast as possible without failing. Students had to pick up a small object and carry it to the assigned place while competing on track 2. Track 3 had a similar challenge just the objects to be picked up were chestnuts: this track was one of the most complicated one for the students to finish. Finally, track 4 was once again a speed challenge: the students had to complete it as fast as possible without crossing any lines or leaving the track.
The jury evaluated the teams and we are all waiting eagerly for the announcement of the winners which will be held during the conference SYNERGY OF INDUSTRY AND SCIENCE FOR SUSTAINABLE FUTURE on the 30th of November.
KTK and Continental Automotive Lithuania Robotics Hackathon was an amazing journey of innovation, collaboration, and social impact. Students from different fields of engineering came together and unleashed their creativity to build robots and make them carry out the tasks required.
