June 8th Kaunas University of Applied Engineering Sciences (KTK) gifted plants for the Zoo that is currently closed for the reconstruction: the park will reopen its doors for the visitors again this autumn.
Aistė Virketė, specialist in gardening at the zoo, expressed her gratitude and was happy with such an initiative of the KTK community.
"I am grateful to Kaunas University of Applied Engineering Sciences, who contributed to this campaign. Donated plants to the zoo will create more greenery. In this way, not only will we create a more natural environment for the animals themselves, where they can feel safe, but we will also make our zoo visitors happier", said A. Virketė.
